This series of photogrammes have been created during series of experiments made with light, duration and mouvement. The drawings we can see on the paper is the recording of the actions and movements of automated mechanisms. These recordings has been made while the mecanisms were placed directly on the photosensitive surfaces of paper.
These mecanisms were made of small everyday objects (motor, funnels, hair brush, small office supplies, fragments from typewriter machine, etc). Their movements, more or less efficient, were being recorded directly on large photosensitive sheets of paper, using LEDS lights. The duration of the exposure varied from 10 seconds to 5 minutes. During that period, the mecanisms were crawling from one point to an other, more or less distant, on the surface. They usually tend to move in circle.
